Volunteer

Thank you for considering offering your time and efforts to Kitty Co. Cat Rescue and our mission in giving all cats a better life. Without wonderful, selfless individuals like you, we wouldn't be able to save as many lives as we do! Volunteering is a great way to support your favorite local rescue and to give back to your community.

You must be 18+ to volunteer, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please know that KCCR does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

Please note that because we are a foster-based rescue and do not currently have a public facility, the following are the only types of volunteers we can accept at this time:

PetSmart kennel cleaners
Intake foster volunteers

All forms are reviewed. Once received and approved, our volunteer coordinator will review your form and contact you to discuss how you can help! Before volunteering for KCCR, you must complete and sign our Volunteer Waiver Release Form, which our volunteer coordinator will send to you.

Transport volunteers help cats get to where they need to go!

Duties include:

• Picking up cats from a given location and dropping them off to their destination (another rescue, a foster home, the vet, etc.)

TNR volunteers contribute to maintaining a healthy population of community cats!

Duties include:

• Feeding colony cats in given locations (we provide food)

• Setting and monitoring live traps

• Scheduling spay/neuter appts for colony cats

• Transporting trapped cats to vet appts, rescues, foster homes, etc.

• Promoting and educating individuals, communities, local businesses, farmers, etc. on TNR

Events

Community Outreach

We are always looking for smiling and fun people to help with our various events!

Duties include:

• Setting up and/or taking down
• Selling tickets or products
• Tending to cats at adoption events

• Engaging with guests

• Encouraging individuals to adopt, foster, and/or volunteer

• Informing guests about our upcoming fundraisers/events

Community Outreach

Community Outreach volunteers help us advertise who we are and what we are about!

Duties include:
• Locating places to hang brochures/event flyers
• Managing our donation bins and jars that are setup in various local businesses

• Publicly speaking on our behalf at township meetings, events, etc.

• Performing interviews on our behalf with journalists and local news stations
