Foster Application

Kitty Co. is glad you are considering dedicating your time and home to foster an animal in need! All animals are matched with a foster home, according to their needs and personality. All vetting, food and supplies, are provided by us.

Please answer the questions on this application truthfully. Completing this form does not automatically qualify you to foster an animal from us. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

All applications are reviewed. If approved, you will be contacted within 3-7 business days via the method of your choosing after the questionnaire has been received. 

Please note: All kitties do not leave their foster homes until they’ve been vetted and/or fixed and until they’re at least 12 weeks old.

•Must be 21+

•Must live within 1 hour from Burgettstown, PA 15021

•Must have way of transportation

•Your current pets must be fixed and up-to-date on vaccinations

•Must be reliable, caring, truthful, and willing to learn

•Must be willing to train the animal, if needed - basic training is absolutely necessary (training to scratch on scratching posts/boards instead of furniture and off of kitchen counters, etc) as we want them setup for success in their next homes

•You may be asked to take your foster animal(s) to their scheduled vet appointment(s)

•Must provide updates and stay in contact frequently

•Must be comfortable administering oral medications, trimming nails (if they allow), brushing, and administering flea meds. *bonus points if you’re experienced with administering vaccines

•Must be able to share frequent posts on behalf of Kitty Co. Cat Rescue about the animal(s) you are fostering to promote their adoption(s)

•Must be able to take CLEAR photos with a clean background that we can post on our page and website. Clear and clean photos catch adopters’ attention! 

•If you have other animals, you must have a separate room to keep the animal(s) in for the first 2 weeks, while they’re sick (if they are), or recovering from a surgery
