Kitty Co. is glad you are considering dedicating your time and home to foster an animal in need! All animals are matched with a foster home, according to their needs and personality, so please be 100% truthful in your answers. All vetting, food, and supplies are provided by us!
You must be 21+ to foster. Please know that KCCR does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

All applications are reviewed! If approved, you will be contacted within 1-3 business days via the method of your choosing after the questionnaire has been received.
•Must be 21+ years old
•Must live within 1 hour from Burgettstown, PA 15021
•Must have reliable transportation
•Must be comfortable with potential adopters in your home for meet & greets and adoptions with your foster kitty(ies)
•Your current pets must be fixed (dogs of certain age/breed are an exception) and up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccinations PRIOR to applying to foster. Additionally, existing cats must be tested for FIV/FeLV
•Must be reliable, caring, truthful, communicative, and willing to learn
•Must be comfortable administering oral & topical medications, trimming nails (if they allow), and brushing as needed
•Must be able to share frequent posts on social media on behalf of the rescue to promote your foster kitties' adoption(s), and take clear photos of your foster kitty(ies) with a clean background that we can post on our page and website. Clear photos catch adopters’ attention!
•Must have a separate space to keep your foster kitty(ies) in until they're ready to be introduced to the rest of the home and to any existing animals

As most rescues are right now, we are over capacity and our foster homes cannot accommodate anymore cats. Please reach out to another local rescue or shelter for assistance. If you have an animal with a medical emergency, please drive to your nearest vet - do not wait for a rescue to get back to you.
